Infiniti FX
The series Infiniti FX is introduced as a medium sized luxury crossover sports utility vehicle and has been in continuous development by the luxury automaker Nissan since 2003.

Changes for 2012
The model FX substituted the previous medium sized luxury sports utility vehicle QX4 , which was designed significantly smaller than the FX model. The FX model is launched to compete with Volvo XC90 and Porsche Cayenne. It is designed on the FM platform, which is configured with both FWD and RWD configurations.
The updated version of new FX crossover will be introduced in the year 2012 and it is likely to come with subtle styling changes. It is inspired by 2009 Essence Concept model with some additional trims.

2012 Infiniti FX SUV features revised bumper and grille designs, new gauges in the instrument cluster, and standard heated seats. A new FX35 Limited Edition with AWD has been introduced.
AWD remains standard on new FX50, while FX35 model comes with either RWD or AWD configurations. New body changes include body design as well as chassis. The G coupe and G sedan also gets redesigned features for 2012.
First Generation (2003-2005)
The labels FX45 and FX35 refer to two different engines. The model FX35 is designed with two different drive-trains- all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive, which are installed with the 3.5-liter V6 dual overhead gasoline engine along with low-friction molybdenum-tinted pistons, electronically regulated throttle system, and aluminum-alloy heads and block.

The entire system is also connected to an electronically regulated automatic 5-speed manual transmission that couples to the sequentially selected downshift rev matching and manual gearshifts.
The model FX45 is incorporated with a 4.5-liter V8 VK45DE engine that connects to a CVT system, a noiseless 1st stage drive chain, lightweight pistons, micro-finished crankshaft, modular cylinder heads, titanium exhaust valves and intake that controls intake valves.
Second Generation (2009-Current)
The reconstructed 2009 model of Infiniti FX was officially launched at the Geneva automobile show on 4th March 2008. The first generation model was outfitted with a powerful 5.0-liter engine.
Coming to the exterior, this generation gets some exterior cues of 1st generation such as Bionic Cheetah appearance and excellent profile. In addition to this, it has the mostly same styling cues as that of first generation.
The most unique features in this vehicle are the shark shaped and longer sculpted headlamps, completely functional plane air vents, and a large sized trapezoidal shaped grille that are carved with horizontal lines. The overall dimensions and size of this vehicle both internal and external remain same as that of past model.
The passenger cabin is redesigned completely to get the FX model up to the level of lavishness of remaining Infiniti versions like the EX35 and G37. Some of the interior features are matte-finish surfaces, stained maple wood or piano black coatings, and stitched leather seats.

The model FX is available with latest front sided double-wishbone suspension design, same as the design of EX35 and G37, substitutes the past generation front strut-type suspension of FX. The lower and upper A-arms assist offer superior regulation of motion of a wheel, particularly at the time when the suspension extends and compresses, enhanced better than the previous strut design.
The ultimate result is improved handling and better ride. The present FX model is 1.6 times torsionally rigid and 3.4 times resistant to twisting over the past model.
